WDS hosts a wide variety of events including socials, conferences, hackathons, and workshops. Some of our events include Poker Night, Spark, WITS, and our Mentorship Program.
Whether you're looking to network, compete, learn, or just have fun, there's something at WDS for everyone.
As a WDS member you will get priority access to all of our events along with discounted tickets for paid events.
You’ll also gain access to our exclusive Discord community, where you have opportunities to network with like minded students and take advantage of the resume reviews to assist with career search.

No prior experience is needed! WDS is open to students of all backgrounds and technical skill levels.
Our goal is to equip members with the skills, knowledge, and connections to help them grow, whether you're just starting out or already have experience in tech.
You can absolutely apply and attend without a team. Many hackers arrive solo and form teams during our icebreakers and team formation activities on day one.
If you already have a team, you’ll be able to list your teammates on your application so we can keep you together.
SheHacks+ is designed as a space that centers women+ and gender-marginalized hackers. While the majority of hacker spots are reserved for these groups, allies of all genders are welcome to support as mentors, volunteers, and sponsors.

Yes, we welcome recent graduates who have completed their studies within the last 12 months at the time of the event.
When you apply, simply indicate that you are a recent graduate and share the institution and program you completed.
Yes, international students are welcome to apply. However, please note that we are not able to provide visas or travel funding.
If you are studying outside Canada, make sure you have the appropriate documentation to travel and attend the event in person before accepting your offer.
